(b) The length of a rectangular floor is 3 m more than its breadth. If the numerical values of its area
and perimeter are equal then form an equation for the breadth x. Also, find the dimensions of
the floor.​

let breadth be x then length will be 3+x

=》Area= x(3+x)= 3x + x^2

=》Perimeter = 2(x + 3+x) = 4x + 6

A/Q 4x+6=3x+x^2

=》 x^2 - x -6 =0

=》 (x+2)(x-3)=0

=》 x=3..... As x cant be negative.

Hence, length=6 and breadth =3.
