Answer:
Side of square = 15m
Perimeter of square = 4×side
= 4×15
= 60m
Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l+b)
= 60m
(i) length of rectangle = 18m
breadth of rectangle = 2(18+b) = 60
60÷2 = 18+b
30 = 18+b
b = 30-18
= 12m
Area of rectangle = l×b
= 12×18
= 216m²
(ii) Area of square = side×side
= 15×15
= 225m²

- Perimeter of square field = Perimeter of rectangular field
- One side of rectangular field = 18 m
- One side of square field = 15 m
- Area of rectangular field
- Total area of both the fields
- Area of square =
- Area of rectangle =
- Perimeter of square =
- Perimeter of rectangle =
According to the question :
Perimeter of square field = Perimeter of rectangular field
- Substituting the values we got
- Transposing 36 to the other side
- Transposing 2 to the other side
So now let's find the area of square and rectangular field :
╭─━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━─╮
⠀⠀⠀⠀
- Area of rectangle = 216 sq.m
- Total area of both the fields = 441 sq. m
