Two crossroads, each 2 m wide, are constructed at right angles to each
other through the centre of a rectangular park of length 70 m and breadth
46 m such that each crossroad is parallel to one of the sides of the rectangle.
Find the area of the crossroads and the cost of constructing them at the rate
of 15 per m.​

Area of path

=> Area of both parh - Area of common square at centre

=> 70 * 2 + 46 * 2 - 2 * 2

=> 140 + 92 - 4

=> 232 - 4

=> 228 sq. m

Now, cost= Area * Rate

= 228 * 15

= ₹3420
