the ticking clock across me. It was 2 am and the night was dense.

it was late night, I felt a shiver run down from my spine. I was in deep slumber, suddenly woke up and saw the clock ticking around me. it was 2 o'clock in the morning. The night was the blackest I ever saw, in other words it was dense.
