Answer:
the rural poverty line is different from the urban poverty line because their nutritional need is different. the people living in rural areas work more hard in compare to people living in urban areas moreover the cost of living in urban areas in high compare to the cost of living in rural areas
It's actually pretty simple. You see there are very less job opportunities in rural areas and even if people get jobs they get paid less because they work mostly in the private sector. Most people working here cultivate crops or rear animals etc. Schools have lower standards and children may not be properly trained due to that. It can also be that the government invests more in cities and gives less priority to the people living in these areas. The most accurate reason I would say is that youth take up traditional jobs, I.e, if his/her father works as a farmer, he/she is more likely to support their parents in working with them. And obviously, income plays a huge factor here. If people have less income, then their children won't be able to pursue higher education. Hence, it slows down development a lot. I hope you got your answer.
Cheers!!
