Sir,

Through the esteemed columns of your newspaper, I would like to present my views on the immediate need to ban the use of plastic bags.

I am Satish Deshmukh, a resident of Shastri Nagar, Ahemadnagar. The call for the ban of plastic bags has become the immediate need of the hour. Increase in the usage of plastic bags has led to an astonishing increment in pollution and environmental degradation. Since plastics are non biodegradable they pose an extensive threat to animals and plants too. Plastic is one of the major factors for pollution on land and water. Chemicals and toxins released by them are hazardous and is life threatening to both marine and land creatures. The government should take necessary steps and measures to ban the use of plastic bags across the country and seek alternatives which are eco friendly like cloth bags, paper bags etc. The citizens of our country should also be made aware of the effects of plastic on both humans and the environment.

Kindly publish the aforesaid matter in your national daily to bring about a change in the society as it really matters.

I am Satish from Shastri Nagar. As we may see that day by day the pollution is increasing. This is mostly increasing due to the plastic. Many people go to market and use the plastic bags given by shopkeeper. These plastic didn't get compost easily. This should be stopped. Therefore due to it I have come to you.
