The beneficial effects of mixtures in our daily lives are-

• Mixtures are important if we want to combine two or more substances e.g. almost all the food items we eat are mixtures of different substances. The air we breathe in is also a mixture of various gases that are important for the survival of living organisms. Mixtures are important as sometimes, we cannot use pure substances e.g pure gold cannot be used for making jewellery as it is very soft. Mixtures are used in various industries in making alloys e.g. steel. It is also beneficial for the preparation of medications as pure drugs have various side effects.
