Explanation:
friction works on tyres
it helps to control brakes and rims
that is what I know

Friction is a force which is found where there is contact between two objects. For example, in a car, it is the friction between the brake pads and the wheels and the friction between the tyres and the road that brings the car to a stop, whenever brakes are applied. Similarly, a person running on the sidewalk can come to a stop because of the friction between the concrete and his shoes. However, if there is water on the surface of the sidewalk, the runner cannot stop that quickly and may even fall. This is because water reduces the contact between the runner’s shoes and the concrete. The lesser the contact, the lesser the friction and the harder it is to come to a halt. The same principle is in action while driving a car on an ice-covered roadway or a wet road on rainy days. Such weather conditions reduce contact with the road, cause low friction and therefore increase the chances of the car skidding and causing accidents.
