THE HEN AND THE GOLDEN EGG

Once upon a time, There lived a poor farmer with his family in a small cottage on the hill. His only source of income was farming. One day, the farmer was going to the market when he saw a hen near the pond . He felt bad for the hen as there was no one taking care of it and thus he decided to shelter it . He also thought he could earn more income by selling its eggs . Then the affair started . He used to feed it everyday and took care of it properly. Eventually, the Hen gave egg and the farmer realised that the egg was golden . When the egg cracked open , he found the most beautiful riches of the world . He was overjoyed and told his family about the magical hen . He thanked god for this miracle. The hen gave an egg daily and with time The farmer became richer and could overcome his poverty . After some time the Farmer became dissatisfied with what he had. So, A greedy thought creeped into his mind that how much gold will the hen have when he cuts it open . He could become the richest in the world. Greed never pays off. He cuts the hen and finds nothing . The poor hen dies and the farmer grieves over his mistake. But alas, its too late. Thus, One should never be greedy as greed never pays off.
