When a body is thrown vertically upwards...at the maximum point..the speed becomes zero..but Still acceleration due to gravity acts on it.

Many examples of this case are possible
1→When anything starts its motion from rest, it will have acceleration but no speed
2→When anything stops, it will have negative acceleration but no speed
Look at this eg to get better understanding→
when you throw a stone up in air, initial speed will be zero but have acc. which gives speed
When it reaches the topmost point, then its speed is zero but it is experiencing acc due to gravity
