B1, B2 and B3 are three identical bulbs connected as shown in the figure. When all the three bulbs glow, a current of 3A is recorded by ammeter A.

(a). What happens to the glow of other
bulbs when B1 gets fused?

(b). What happens to the reading of A1,
A2, A3 and A when B2 gets fused?

(c). How much power is dissipated in the circuit when all the three bulbs glow together ?

Answe

Explanation:

Req=4.5/3=1.5

Resistance of each bulb is 4.5ohm

(a) when B1 get fuse req increases and current decreases bulbs glow less

(b) A2 =0, A1=A3=1amp, A=2amp

(c) power =3i^2R=13.5watt
