B1, B2 and B3 are three identical bulbs connected as shown in Figure. When all the three

bulbs glow, a current of 3A is recorded by the ammeter A.
(i) If the Bulb B1 get fused , how will it affect the light intensity of other two bulbs?

(ii) How much power is dissipated in the circuit when all the three bulbs glow together?

Answer:

(i) The current in A1 , A3 will increase and in A it will be greatest as it is the total of the current flowing through the circuit.

The current in A2 will be zero as the bulb is fused and the circuit breaks at that point.
