many old people are not taken care of properly, due increasing number of nuclear families and also because of financial difficulties. hence old age homes are a must because they provide shelter and support to stranded souls. also, in old age homes, people are taken care of very well and if they get better treatment there,then there is no need to live with your family, as you find new family members soon who are more caring. instead of living unwillingly with your members, old people can choose to live a respectable life .
