Given : the coefficient of variation  is 5 % and

mean of a frequency distribution is  125

To Find :  the standard deviation

(A) 0.625

(B) 6.25

(C) 62.5

(D) 625

Solution:

CV  in % = ( SD / Mean) * 100

CV =  coefficient of variation

SD = Standard Deviation

5 = (SD/ 125) * 100

=> SD = 5 * 125 /100

=> SD = 625 /100

=> SD = 6.25

the standard deviation is  (B) 6.25
