than , by alternate interior angles criteria

59° = y°

now ,

sum of the angle of the all angles if a ∆ is 180°

therefore ,

let the third angle of the triangle z

59° + 60° + z = 180°

z = 61°

now ,

angle z + angle y + angle x = 180° ( by linear pair )

61° + 59° + x = 180°

x = 60°

hence x = 60° and y = 59°
