Answer:

Length of floor = 6 m

breath of floor = 4 m

area of floor = length × breath

= 6 × 4

= 24 m

Side of each tile = 0.5 m

area of tile = side × side

= 0.5 × 0.5

= 0.25 m

number of tiles required to cover the floor = area of floor / area of tile

= 24 / 0.25

= 96

Answer:

Area of room=length * breadth

=3*4

=12

Area of one tile =0.5*0.5

=0.25

number of tiles is given by the formula,

number=area of room/area of one tile

So,

Number=

0.25

12

=48

Thus 48 tiles will be used to cover an entire floor
