Given that babla can do a piece of work in 10 days.

Work done by Babla in 1-day = (1/10).

Given that Ashu can do a piece of work in 15 days.

Work done by Ashu in 1-day = (1/15).

Amount of work done by them in 1-day = (1/10) + (1/15)

= > (3 + 2)/30

= > (5/30)

= > (1/6).

So, Total work done can be done in 6 days.

Given that Total wages for the work is 5000.

So,

Babla will get = (6/10) * 5000

= > 3000.

Therefore, babla should be paid 3000 rupees.

Hope this helps!

Find amount of work Babla can do in a day:

Babla can do the work in 10 days

⇒ 1 day = 1/10 of the work

Find amount of work Ashu can do in a day:

Ashu can do the work in 15 days

⇒ 1 day = 1/15 of the work

Find the ratio of work done by Babla and Ashu :

Babla : Ashu = 1/10 : 1/15

Multiply both sides by 150:

Babla : Ashu = 15: 10

Divide both sides by 5:

Babla : Ashu = 3 : 2

Find Babla's share of the wages:

Babla : Ashu = 3 : 2

Let x be the constant ratio:

Babla : Ashu = 3x : 2x

Given wages = Rs 5000

3x + 2x = 5000

5x = 5000

x = 1000

Babla's wages = 3x = 3(1000) = Rs 3000

Answer: Babla should be paid Rs 3000
