Total amount she needs to pay is 4000+500= Rs.4500
Now as she needs to pay it in 10 times and each interest is Rs.10 less than preceding one,
Let her pay Rs.x first then the next amounts would x-10, x-20, x-30, x-40, x-50, x-60, x-70, x-80, x-90 respectively.
Therefore x+ x-10+ x-20+ x-30+ x-40+ x-50+ x-60+ x-70+ x-80+ x+90=4500
Therefore, 10x -450=4500
10x= 4500+450
10x=4950
x=Rs.495
Therefore x-90= Rs.405
First instalment is Rs.495 and last one is Rs.405
