dead bacteria are used in vaccination as a part of active immunity. this will stimulate the body to produce ANTIBODIES e.g;- polio vaccine
even weak living bacteria or viruses called ATTENUATED ORGANISMS which cannot cause a disease but can multiply , trigger the body to produce antibodies against them resulting in active immunity. Tuberculosis. Rubella, Measles are some of the attended vaccines.
even many antibiotics are made using bacteria. antibiotic is a chemical substance which is produced by certain microbes ( bacteria and fungi) and can kill or inhibit the growth of other disease causing microbes. Antibiotics prevent bacterial growth by either killing the bacteria or by making them inactive.
