Answer:

It should be 3/5as 2 balls are taken from bag A as well and that to of different colours means a white and a black ball.....so as per that it should be 3/5.

The probability that the ball drawn is white is 49/80

Total number of bags = 2 = A and B (Given)

Total number of balls in bag A = 3+2 = 5

Number of white balls = 3

Probability of choosing white ball from A = 3/5

Out of bag A and B, the probability of drawing ball from bag A = 1/2

Thus,

Probability of choosing A and drawing a white ball

= (3/5) × (1/2)

= 3/10

Total number of balls in bag B = 5+3 = 8

Number of white balls = 5

Probability of choosing white ball from B = 5/8

Out of bag A and B, the probability of drawing ball from bag B = 1/2

Thus,

Probability of choosing B and drawing a white ball

= (5/8) ×(1/2)

= 5/16

Thus, if a bag is chosen at random, the chance that ball is white

= (3/10) + (5/16)

= 49/80
