Answer:

The number of 5 rupee coins is 10

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : Bag contains coins of 1 rupee, 2 rupees, 5 rupees in the ratio 4:8:5. The total amount is rs. 90.

To find : The number of 5 rupee coins is?

Solution : Let the number of coins = x

The ratio of 1 rupee: 2 rupees :5 rupees = 4:8:5

So,The number of 1 rupee coins = 4x

The number of 2 rupee coins =  8x

The number of 5 rupee coins = 5x

Total amount = Rs. 90

According to question -

1 (4x) + 2(8x) +5(5x) = 90

\Rightarrow4x+ 16x + 25x = 90

\Rightarrow 45x = 90

\Rightarrow x = 2

Therefore, number of 5 rupee coins \Rightarrow 5x=5(2)=10
