Answer:

Angkor Wat is a testament to the triumph of the Khmer (Cambodian) empire in Hindu Buddhism. The Khmer Kingdom used to be an important occupation in Southeast Asia, and had relations with kingdoms in Indonesia such as the kingdom of Ancient Mataram.

Discussion:

Angkor Wat, is a temple in Cambodia, a legacy of the Khmer or Cambodian kingdom and is the largest Hindu temple complex in Southeast Asia. Angkor Wat was built on a complex of 162.6 hectares (1,626,000 m2) and was built by King Suryawarman II (ruled 1113-1145 AD).

Initially this building complex was built as a Hindu temple dedicated to the god Vishnu for the Khmer Empire, gradually being transformed into a Buddhist temple towards the end of the 12th century.

This temple is a building with the best known Khmer architecture, and has become a symbol of Cambodia. This temple appears on the national flag of Cambodia, and is the main attraction for visitors and tourists to this country.

Angkor Wat consists of a tower in the center, which depicts Mount Meru, the sacred mountain in Hinduism. Then around the central tower there are smaller towers, and walls decorated with reliefs or sculptures, which depict life in the Khmer empire.
