Baichung's father age is 26 years younger than Baichung's grandfather and 29 years older than Baichung.The sum of the ages of all the three is 135 years.What is the age of each of them?​

Baichung's father age is 26 years younger than Baichung's grandfather and 29 years older than Baichung.The sum of the ages of all the three is 135 years.

To find:-

The age of all of them

Solution:-

=> Suppose Baichung's father age is x years.

=> Baichung grandfather age is 26 yrs elder than his father=(x+26)years..

=> Baichung is 29 years younger than his father=(x-29)years

=> The sum of their ages of all of them is 135 years.

∴x+(x+26)+(x-29)=135

∴x+x+26+x-29=135

∴3x-3=135

∴3x=135+3

∴x=138

∴x= \dfrac{138}{3}

∴x= \dfrac{\cancel(138)46}{\cancel3}

∴x= \sf \huge \pink{46}

=> Baichung's grandfather's age x+ 26

=46+26

=72 years..

=> Baichung's age=x=29

=46-29

=17 years..

∴46+72+17=135

the age of baichung=x-29

According to question:

x+x+26+x-29=135

3x-3=135

3x=138

x=46

Age of baichung's father= 46

Age of baichung's grandfather= x+26 =46+26=72
