Let the present age of the Baichung be x

  • Baichung's Father be (x + 29)
  • Baichung's Grandfather be (x + 29 + 26)

Now, We know that sum of the ages of all the three is 135 years.

→ x+x+29+x+29+26 = 135

→ 3x + 84 = 135

→ 3x = 135 – 84

→ 3x = 51

x = 17

Hence,

  • Baichung's age is 17 years.
  • Baichung's Father age is 46 years.
  • Baichung's Grandfather age is 72 years.

Let :-

  • The age of Baichung = x
  • The age of his father = x + 29
  • The age of his grandfather = x + 29 + 26

To Find :-

  • The age of Baichung = ?
  • The age of his father = ?
  • The age of his grandfather = ?

Solution :-

As per the given Question we have to set up equation as given in the question. Baichung’s father is 26 years younger than Baichung’s grandfather and 29 years older than Baichung. The sum of the ages of all the three is 135 years.

Sum of age ( Baichung + father + grandfather) = 135

⇢ x + (x + 29) + (x + 29 + 26) = 135

⇢ x + x + 29 + x + 55 = 135

⇢ 3x + 84 = 135

⇢ 3x = 135 - 84

⇢ 3x = 51

⇢ x = 17

  • Now calculate their age here :-]

Hence,

⇢ The age of Baichung (x) = 17 years

⇢ The age of his father (x + 29) = 17 + 29 = 46 years

⇢ The age of his grandfather (x + 55) = 17 + 55 = 72 years
