Given,

Baker received an order of a total of 40 cakes.

Baker took 45 minutes to bake and decorate \frac{1}{4} his total orders.

To Find,

In 1 hour and 30 minutes, How many cakes can be done?

Solution.

At first, let's calculate   \frac{1}{4} his total orders. Which are 40× \frac{1}{4} =10 cakes.

As given, So 10 cakes can be done in 45 minutes.

Total given time is 1 hour 30 minutes =60+30 minutes = 90 minutes.

So if in 45 minutes total 10 cakes can be done.

∴In 1 minute total \frac{10}{45} cakes can be done.

So in 90 minutes total  \frac{10}{45} ×90 =10×2=20cakes can be done.

Hence, in 1 hour and 30 minutes, total of 20cakes can be done.

Answer:

The number of cakes can be done in 1 hr 30 minutes = 20 cakes

Step-by-step explanation:

Given data

the orders received by baker = 40 cakes

it took 45 minutes to bake and decorate 1/4 of orders

here we need to find how many cakes will done in 1 hr 30 minutes

⇒ 1/4 of the order cakes = \frac{1}{4} (40) =  10 cakes

⇒ 10  cakes can be done in 45 mins

⇒ in 45 minutes they can make 10 cakes

⇒ now find how many cakes can be done in 1 hr 30 minutes

⇒ 1 hr 30 minutes = 60 minutes + 30 minutes = 90 minutes

number of cake can be done in 90 minutes =  \frac{10}{45} (90)

                                                                         = 10 × 2 = 20 cakes
