Baking soda and vinegar are to be mixed. A tablespoon of baking soda is placed in a container and some vinegar is added in the container. A fuzzing eruption takes place.
More vinegar is added constantly till the eruption stops. Why do you think has the reaction stopped taking place?

Answer:

Since Vinegar is Acidic and baking soda alkaline, the more vinegar is added, the more it gets neutralised and hence the eruption stops. Acid and base make solution neutral.
