1) sodium bicarbonate , commonly knows as baking soda , is a chemical compound with the formula NaHCO3 . it is a salt composed of sodium ion and bicarbonate ion . sodium bicarbonate is a white solid that is crystalline but often appears as a fine powder.
2) sodium carbonate Na2CO3, is the water soluble sodium salt of carbonic acid . it most commonly occurs as a crystalline decahydrate ,which readily efflorescence to form a white powder the monohydrate. it is a washing soda.
