baking soda is applied to the stung area becoz rubbing a mild base like baking soda solution on it gives relief as it neutralizes the acidic liquid injected by the bee.........but when the wasp stings a person,it releases an alkaline liquid into the skin

Use a solution of 4 tablespoons of Baking Soda to 1 quart of water. Wipe down microwave and rinse with clear water. For cooked-on foods sprinkle Baking Soda directly on a damp sponge, scrub food stains and rinse.
