Required Answer:-

The given equation is already balanced as no. Of molecules are equal on both sides of equation.

Counting the number of molecules of each element:

\large\boxed{\begin{array}{c| c |c }\bf Element &\bf Product\:side&\bf Reactant\: side\\&&&\sf Na&1&1\\\sf Cl&1&1&\sf O&1&1&\sf H&2&2\end{array}}

About reaction:-

The given reaction is a neutralization reaction as well as double displacement reaction.

We can see that an acid(HCl) and a base(NaOH) are combining to give Salt(NaCl) and water (H₂O). Since an acid and a base are reacting to give Salt and water, this type of reaction is neutralization reaction.

Also in this reaction, mutual exchanging of ions or 2 times displacement reactions are taking place, hence it is double displacement reaction.

What is the need to balance chemical equation?

Chemical equations are balanced in order to justify law of conservation of mass which states that mass can neither be created nor be destroyed in a chemical reaction.
