The balance equation of reaction of lead nitrate with ammonium hydroxide is-

Pb(NO3)2+2NH4OHPb(OH)2 + 2NH4NO3

  • For balancing the equation the following steps should be follow .

1. First, write the unbalanced chemical equation .

Pb(NO3)2+NH4OH → Pb(OH)2 + NH4NO3

2. Make a list

make a list of all of the elements or compounds of both sides.

3. Identify the atoms in each elements.

4. Multiply the number of atoms in each elements until both sides are equal.

5. Placing coefficients in front of the molecules.

6. At last check the equation that if it is balanced or not.

Pb: 1 Pb: 1

NO3: 2 NO3: 1*2=2

NH4: 1*2=2 NH4: 1*2=2

OH: 1*2=2 OH: 2

so,we get the complete balanced equation-

Pb(NO3)2+2NH4OH → Pb(OH)2 + 2NH4NO3.
