Given equation :

\sf\bigstar{ \: P_4 + O_2  \: \longrightarrow  \: P_2  O_3}

Step I :

Balance metal in equation

Potassium is the metal of the given equation, now we balance potassium.

In LHS

No. of Potassium = 4

In RHS (Product)

No. of Potassium = 2

Now,

We multiply the 2 molecules of Potassium in the product. We get,

\sf\bigstar{\: P_4 + O_2 \:  \longrightarrow \:  2P_2  O_3}

Step II :

Balance Oxygen

In LHS

No. of Oxygen = 2

In RHS

No. of Oxygen = 6

Now,

We multiply 3 molecules of oxygen in LHS. We get,

\sf\bigstar{\: P_4 + 3O_2 \:  \longrightarrow \: 2P_2O_3}

Balanced Equation

\sf\bigstar{\:  \red{P_4 + 3O_2 \:  \longrightarrow \: 2P_2O_3}}
