Iron(III) oxide (Fe²O³ ) reacts with aluminium(Al) to form aluminium oxide(Al²O³) and molten iron(Fe)

.☞This is a displacement reaction as aluminium displaces iron in iron(III)oxide to form aluminium oxide. Also it is a redox reaction as both oxidation of aluminium and reduction of iron is taking place

.✪The Equation can be written as:

2Al(s)+Fe²O³(s)→Al ²O ³(s)+2Fe(l)+heat
