Explanation:

For balancing the chemical equation ,we have to balance the number of atoms on both the sides of equation.

C₂H₂+O₂→CO₂+H₂O

Now there are two carbon atoms on the left hand side , so balance two carbon atoms on the right hand side.

C₂H₂+O₂→2CO₂+H₂O

Now the number of carbon and hydrogen atoms are balanced on both the sides. We have to just balance the number of oxygen atoms .

There are five carbon atoms on the right hand side so to balance it on the left hand side we will right 5/2O₂=5O

so the final answer is C₂H₂+5/2O₂→2CO₂+H₂O
