good evening!!☺️

We have two ball and socket joint in our bodies.

The first is the shoulder joint and the second is the hip joint.

The shoulder joint is comprised of the head of the humans, the ball, and the glenoid part of the scapula bone, the socket.

The hip joint is formed, likewise, by the head of the femur (thighbone) and the acetabulum (socket) of the pelvic bone.

Whilst both joints are similar with the ball part, they are very different with the socket part. Think of the shoulder - it's a very mobile joint, which allows us a high degree of range movement. You can get your hands to reach most parts of your body with this high degree of mobility. To allow this, the socket part of the joint is very shallow, because if it weren't, the movements would be considered, just as they are at the hip.

hope it helps!!!!♠️♠️
