Title Talaq had long been practiced in India even though the concept has never, ever been mentioned in the Holy Quran. I believe it would make the weakened position of muslim women in their household better and stop their exploitation by their very own husbands. It would also give them freedom as they won't have to live in the constant fear of being divorced anywhere, anyhow over little things. So, it would empower them as well as make 'em free!
