A  \: white  \: precipitate  \: of \:  barium  \\ sulphate \:  will  \: be \:  formed  \: by \:  the   \\ instant \:  reaction \:  between   \\ barium \:  chloride \:  and  \: sulphuric  \\  acid. \\ <br />BaCl _{2}+ H_{2} SO_{4} = BaSO _{4}  + 2HCl \\ <br />HCl  \: acid  \: does \:  not  \: play \:  any  \\  active  \: role  \: here. \:  BaSO4 \:  is   \\  insoluble  \: in  \: HCl.<br /><br />
