base and corresponding altitude of a parallelogram are 32 cm and 13 cm respectively . if altitude corresponding to the other side of the parallelogram is 16 cm , find the other side.

first case:-
base x altitude =32 cm x 13 cm

second case:-
base x altitude = base x 16 cm

area in both cases always same
hence,
32 x 13=base x 16

base =26cm

hence other side =26 cm

Area of the parallelogram = b x h
Base = 32 cm
Height = 13 cm
----------------------------------------------

Area = 32 x 13 = 416 cm²

Now altitude = 16 cm
Area remains the same

So base = ?
base x 16 = 416
base = 416/16 = 26 cm
