Given,

The base area of the cylinder = 13.86 cm²

The volume of the cylinder = 69.3 cm³

To find,

The height and the curved surface area of the given cylinder.

Solution,

We know that,

Volume = Base area × Height

69.3 = 13.86 × Height

Height = 69.3/13.86 = 5 cm

Let, the radius of the base = r cm

[ Assume, r as a variable to do the further mathematical calculations.]

Area of the base = πr² cm²

Now, if we compare the two values of the given area of the base, then we will get the following mathematical equation.

πr² = 13.86

r² = 13.86 × 7/22

r² = 4.41

r = 2.1

Curved surface area = 2 × 22/7 × 2.1 × 5 = 66 cm²

Hence, the height of the cylinder is 5 cm and the CSA of the cylinder is 66 cm².
