Answer:

251.5 cm^{2} ( Approx)

Step-by-step explanation:

Base area = pi x R^{2} = 64 x pi

R = \sqrt{64}

R = 8cm

a.

Cone:

Maximum height = Height of cylinder= 6cm

R = 8cm

slant height^{2} = R^{2} + H^{2}

L^{2} = 8^{2} + 6^{2}

=64 + 36

 =100

L^{2} = 100

L = \sqrt{100}

L = 10

b.

CSA = pi x R x L

     = 22/7 x 8 x 10

     = 22 x 8 x 10/7

    =1760/7

CSA = 251.4285 cm^{2}

      = 251.5 cm^{2} ( Approx)
