Given :-

  • Base is equal to 95 mm, altitude is equal to 6.5 cm.

To find :-

  • Area of parallelogram

Solution :-

  • Base of Parallelogram = 95mm

  • Altitude of parallelogram = 6.5 cm

As we know that

  • 1m = 1000mm

  • 1m = 100cm

So,

  • Base = 0.095 m

  • Altitude = 0.065 m

Area of Parallelogram

→ base × altitude

→ 0.095 × 0.065

→ 0.006175 m²

Hence,

  • Area of parallelogram is 0.006175 m²

Answer:

Question

Base is equal to 95 mm, altitude is equal to 6.5 cm. find area of parallelograms (in square metre)

Formula

Base × altitude

Solution

First we have to convert into like terms .

So, I will convert it into mm

95 mm = 95 mm

6.5 cm =

1cm = 10 mm

6.5 cm = 10 × 6+5 = 65 mm

Now apply the formula

Base × Altitude

10 × 65 = 650 mm

Hence ,the area of parallelogram is 650mm²

Hope it helps
