Answer:

Triangle 1 - height = 4 cm

Base = 10 cm

Area  = 1/2 x base x height

= 1/2 x 10 x 4

= 20 sq. cm

Triangle 2 - height - 5 cm

base = 12 cm

area = 1/2 x base x height

= 1/2 x 12 x 5

= 30 sq. cm

ratio of triangle 1 to triangle 2 = 20/30

                                                  = 2/3

                                                  = 2 : 3 (answer)
