Question :-

To find ratio of areas of 2 triangles.

Answer :-

  • Base of 1 st triangle = 9
  • Height = 4
  • Base of 2 nd Triangle = 8
  • Height = 4

\bf \: area \: = \frac{1}{2} \times base \times height \\ \bf \: = > \frac{1}{2} \times b \times h

\bull \sf\: area \: of \: first \: triangle \implies

 = > \sf \: \frac{1}{2} \times 9 \times 4 \\ = > \sf \: \frac{1}{2} \times 36 \\ \bf = > 18

\bull \: \sf \: area \: of \: 2nd \: triangle \implies

 = > \sf \: \frac{1}{2} \times 8 \times 4 \\ = > \sf \frac{1}{2} \times 32 \\ = > \bf16

\bf \: area = 18 \: and \: 16

So, ratio will be :-

\bf \: 18 : 16 = 9 : 8

\bf \: ratio \: = 9 : 8

Now, we understood that the base of the triangle is same as the ratio of the areas of triangle.
