We know that the BASE = 9

and HEIGHT = 5 ................. OF 1st TRIANGLE

Now take the formula of area of triangle that is..

1/2 * Base * Height So,

1/2*9*5 = 45/2 ................1st

and same for the another one .......

Here , Base = 15

And height = 12

So Area of triangle is ..........

1/2*base*height

1/2*15*12 = 90 ..........2nd

now their ratios are 45/2/90 i.e., 45/2 : 90

now after reducing them the ratio became 1:4 ....... answer
