Differences and similarities between animal cell and plant cell:
Animal cell:
- They are generally small in size.
- Cell wall is absent.
- They have a single prominent Golgi apparatus which is highly complex.
- Centrosomes and centrioles present.
Plant cell:
- Plant cells are comparatively larger than the animal cells.
- Cell wall which is made up of cellulose are present.
- They have 'simpler units of Golgi apparatus', called dictyosomes.
- Centrosomes and centrioles absent.
Similarities:
- They both have plasma membrane.
- Nucleus, along with nuclear material, is present in both.
- Both are eukaryotic multicellular organisms.
