SOLUTION :

The base surface area of a cylinder = 20 cm sq.     (given)

The height of the cylinder = 10 cm     (given)

To be found :-

The volume of the cylinder

The formula to find the volume of a cylinder = \bf \pi r^{2}h  unit sq.

[ ∴ in which r is the radius and h is the height of the cylinder ]

We know that,

The base of the cylinder is in circular shape

Here,

The base area of circle =  \bf \pi r^{2}  unit sq.

[ ∴ in which r is the radius circle ]

So,

\bf \pi r^{2} unit sq. = 20 cm sq.   (given)

So,

Volume of the cylinder =  \bf \pi r^{2}h  unit sq.

                                      = 20 × 10 unit sq.

                                       = 200 cm sq.

Hence,

The volume of the cylinder is 200 cm sq.
