Baseballs pitched by a machine have a horizontal velocity of 30 meters/second. The machine accelerates the baseball from 0 meters/second to 30 meters/second in 0.5 seconds. If a baseball has a mass of 0.15 kilograms, the force the machine exerts is
newtons. Use F = ma

the baseball is actually given a force which is at 0 velocity.hence u=0 m/s.

as force is exerted it gained velocity i.e. it was accelerated.hence as per your given formula F=mass×acceleration.

also given that mass=0.15 kg

we know the formula for acceleration as

a =  \frac{v - u}{t}  \\  = a =  \frac{30 - 0}{0.5}  \frac{m}{ {s}^{2} }  \\  = a = 60\frac{m}{ {s}^{2} } \:

hence the force is

F=60×0.15 N

=F=9 N

this is ur answer.hey Plz mark as brainleist
