places which come under equator region are very humid and receive maximum amount of sunlight and get a huge amount of rainfall (like Amazon forest).



places which come under polar region receive very less amount of sunlight as the are near to poles at the rotating axis of the earth and so they are covered with ice and snow.(like Antarctica)
