cost price of article = Rs 1215

transportation charges = Rs 35

total cost price (c.p)= 1215+35= 1250

gain= (g)=16%

selling price = cp(100+g)/100

= 1250(100+16)/100

= 1250*116/100
= Rs1450

Cost price of article           =  $1215
Transportation charges     =  $35
∴ Net buying price            =  $(1215+35)
                                             =  $1250

If profit is 16%,

We know,
Sell Price =  Buying Price + Profit
                      =  $[1250+( \frac{16}{100}*1250)]
                      =  $[1(1250)+ \frac{4}{25}(1250)]
                      =  $[1250(1+ \frac{4}{25} )]
                      =  $[1250( \frac{25+4}{25} )]
                      =  $[ 1250*\frac{29}{25}]
                      =  $(50*29)
                      =  $1450   (ans.)
