the basic difference between the both is that :
in a physical change the substance doesn't change . In a chemical change there is a chemical reaction and a new substance is formed.

Physical Changes: The type of changes in which a particular substance changes it's physical state only are known as physical changes. - These are reversible changes. -Only the physical properties of a substance are changed. - Formation of ice, melting of wax etc. Chemical Changes: The changes in which the chemical properties of a substance is changed are known are chemical changes. - These are non reversible changes. - The chemical properties of the substance are changed. -Eg: Ripening of fruits, rusting of iron etc. Hope it helps....❤
