Hy,
Nephron is the structural and functional unit of kidney.
Nephron has the following parts- bowen capsule, glomerulus, Proximal convulated tubule, loop of Henle, Distal convulated tubule, collecting duct.
There are millions of Nephrons in each kidney and they help in filtration in kidney.
More details about it u will study in higher classes or if u want to go for MBBS or BDS.

Kidney

it is packets of 10 - 12 lakh NEPHRONS .
whole the excretory system is mesodermal in origin .
except the urinary bladder ( endodermal )
THE FUNCTIONS OF KIDNEY

1- Filtration of blood to separate the excretory material especially urea to form urine .
2- to keep the PH of blood constant .
3- to maintain the concentration of the body fluid ( plasma ) constant .
4- to maintain the blood pressure.


It's functional and structural unit is NEPHRON .
NEPHRON is meaodermal in origin .
nephron is firstly started in phylum nephridia in annlides .

nephron has parts glomerulus , bowmen's capsule etc.
